Having another look at a sample ballot this morning, it had completely escaped my attention that Roseanne Barr was running for President, with Cindy Sheehan listed as her VP.
Slightly related to that, in thinking about the platforms and the talking points, and the tone of the campaign overall, I got to thinking that one was a campaign of "We're all in this together" and the other's message was more in line with "I got mine, the hell with the rest of you." One is reciprocal, the other is bootstrappy.
There are long lines at some polling locations already this morning. I am planning to go after work, so I really hope most people have gone earlier in the day in my district, so I can get through fairly quickly. Because then the results will be watched and the booze will be consumed. And then it will all be over. Unless this is 2000 all over again. In which case, I don't have nearly enough booze.
