This was posted on a fellow Nano-ers blog, which they in turn had gotten from the site forum. This'll give you an idea how fast and loose I am about this whole "30 days to 50,000 words" thing.

[] a title? (This is optional isn't it?)
[X] a plot (however vague)? (YEP!)
[] and/or a tagline/synopsis?
[X] main characters? (I have my MC, sort of...she's still not that well defined yet)
[X] minor characters? (Kids & monsters, ahoy!!)
[] an emotional relationship/connection with your characters? (At this stage, they aren't fleshed out enough to be quite "real" yet...)
[X] a beginnning? (I've had this for literally months, rolling around in the brain box)
[] a middle? (WIP...)
[] an end? (this'll take care of itself, I think, as the story evolves.)
[x] a setting/settings? (Double yep!)
[] the climax?
[] the resolution?
[X] a dictionary and/or thesaurus stationed nearby?
[X] a bottomless coffee mug for inducing insomnia? (Sure do, but I don't need it - the insomnia happens without chemical inducement...o.0)
[X] a notebook for when you can’t access your computer? (Scraps of Post-it notes at the bottom of my purse count, right?)
[] a word count goal higher than 50K? (If I reach 50K on the dot I'll be freaking euphoric, so lets not push it, okay?)
[] pliers with with to cut your internet connection to prevent distraction? (NOOOO! I need my internets!! :hyperventilates:)
[] muses to keep your imagination sparked? ("Muses?" We don't need no stinkin' muses!")
[] an inner pep talker? (See also "muse")
[X] an outer support system / someone to nag you? (Twitter counts, right?)
[X] a writing buddy (official or unofficial)? (Several of these, some of them are even non-internety)
[] a cage to lock your inner editor in (only for a month)? (See also "inner pep talker")
[] a pause button for your social life (if you had one to begin with)? (Ah, no, we will be operating under "life as usual" conditions, here...if I can't deal with writing without dropping *everything* going on in my life...then I don't think I will be able to manage being a writer - unless I want to be of the "starving artist" variety...which...I don't, really.)
[] a reward if you reach your goal? (A Macbook and Scriverner! HUZZAH!)
[] a consolation prize if you don’t? (Zip. Nada. Nothing.)
[X] motivation? (To say that I did and prove that I can.)
[X] negative emotions (stress, panic, fear, etc.)? (Are you kidding - my stomach is in knots!)
[X] positive emotions (happiness, excitement, eagerness, etc.)? (Those too...I was really excited days ago, and anxious to start. Now I'm just...anxious.)
[] time? (Not enough in the world...)
