All Hallow's Read for All Hallow's Eve

Courtesy of Neil Gaiman, there is a movement afoot to create a new Hallowe'en tradition of giving scary books. This is not in place of giving out candy to strange children whose parents spent too much money on cheap costumes that their kids will only wear once - it's a way of encouraging . Of course, if you want to give the local trick-or-treaters books, please do. Books of all types are wonderful gateways to learning, and the gift of reading is priceless. But you may want to consider still doing the candy thing, if only to not bring out the neighborhood kids' inner hooligans.

hoodies as they're called in England.
those damned hoodies. sittin around. loiterin'!

I like this tradition. and you're a good gift-giver so you'll see this information and it will stick w/ ya. others will read it, go "oh yeah, how fun!" and forget. they're the people that hand out milky ways strapped to new toothbrushes.

They're also called chavs, right? Or are chavs our "white trash"? I think comic books are a great idea for this concept - you can get them really cheap.
