Yes, Matt Smith is alternately manic and endearing as the 11th Doctor. Sometimes he even does dangerous and creepy - because the character isn't human after all, and although he's humanity's champion, being the Time Lord's not all quirky non-sequiters and funny hats all the time. I've even got my husband to watch it with me...mmm, okay, he watches it for the redhead who is the current Companion. But hey, it's a start, lol.
